About our Team

Comprehensive veterinary service for your pets

Vermont Village Vet is a modern purpose built Veterinary Hospital located in the suburb of Vermont, 24 km east of Melbourne CBD.

The aim of the practice is to provide affordable premium pet health care.

We do this by having a facility that has modern up-to-date equipment, run by experienced staff who endeavour to keep costs as reasonable as possible. We have a policy at the practice of only employing experienced vets, which means your pet will get the best possible care in the unfortunate event of getting ill.

We know your four-legged friend is the most important member of the family, and we are there to provide you the most up-to-date veterinary health care that is available for them.

Our Core Principles

Value

We provide good value through a fair and competitive pricing structure with good clinical outcomes.

Choice

We offer clients choice that best suits their pet’s needs as well as their financial considerations.

Excellence

We inspire excellence by employing experienced vets and nurses who embrace learning and mentoring to ensure the best possible outcomes, both clinically and inter-personally.

Respect

We show respect at all times to colleagues, clients, patients and the veterinary industry. We pride ourselves on our collegiality and our collaboration with clients.

Equality

We stand for equality and diversity.  We are an LGBTQIA+ ally, and respect the First Nations peoples and friends from all cultural and religious backgrounds.

Our Logo

Vermont Village Vet’s logo represents our passion for the human-animal bond, as well as reflecting our “boutique” style service. “Dogman-Catwoman” was designed by the world renowned artists Gille and Marc, Vermont Village Vet’s charity of choice. Gille and Marc are passionate about the plight of endangered species throughout the world, and their philanthropic projects raise funds to protect these vulnerable animals.

The human-animal bond is a mutually beneficial and dynamic relationship between people and animals that is influenced by behaviours essential to the health and wellbeing of both. This alliance creates emotional, physiological and physical interactions between people, animals, and the environment. The human-animal bond helps our mental health. Our pets improve symptoms of depression, anxiety, PTSD, and decrease loneliness. This has never been more evident than in COVID times.
